Tecumseh Valley

(Vic Chesnutt - Myrtle) - This post is inspired by the Wideman-Davis installation last night.  This song was looped at the very end of the performance, after some really cool, but more standard for modern dance, experimental-electronic instrumental music—and a visual artist named Michael Krajewski painted new works literally within the performance, on the same canvas the dancers were dancing on.  Chesnutt committed suicide last year, and the use of his music in this particular context of creation just struck me as deeply poignant.
